Business

Things are going well, I've revived my poor old Ebay store for the third time and also opened a brand new Etsy store too! I've only got a few prints and wearable and things at the moment but if you would like to check them out here's links:

If anyone wants anything just say you saw it here and I'll give you mates rates. :)
I also started an oil painting course, given to me for my birthday by my lovely Ash. So, we'll see how that goes, but so far I LOVE it. LOVELOVE LOVE, love love.

Call for Web Designers

Now, I've reached the business decision of hiring someone to code/design a good, professional website for me. So I'm putting the offer out there to anyone that reads this and can do a good job. It's a paying job, and I don't mind paying all up front or deposit. I would rather give a friend or a fellow struggling artist the job than some crappy heartless web design firm.

I have offered the job to the magnificent Chisa, but if she declines or is too busy than anyone else is welcome to note me or email me, my email is meg@bluesatyrart.com

Health

Still not sure what's wrong with me! Had a million blood tests. Paying lots of money to go to different specialists. I'm getting more results in a few weeks so we'll see...

Everyone have a great week! I'm on the coast in Coffs atm so having a G.R.E.A.T time!

Love to all! xx

Things I have learn'd

Warcraft

Yes, I am addicted. Yes, I did buy the game. And, I bought the expansion. :S Unfortunately I ran out of download half way through downloading the expansions and I have to wait until tomorrow for it to kick back in again. Seriously, you could hear me howl from three blocks away.

Health

I've got an appointment to see a Rheumatologist in two weeks. His name is Dr Bird. Does anyone remember that song from the 90's I think it was They Might Be Giants, called Dr Worm? Well every time I see the name Dr Bird I start singing in my head, "They call me Doctor Worm..." lol it's really driving me crazy.

Puppy

Sadly, we now live in an apartment and my puppy is being looked after by a friend of mine. But even more sadly, she can't keep him after the 26th April. I had initially thought that if this happened I would just board him until we moved again, but now it looks like with all the upcoming doctors' fees plus loss of income from not working, I won't have a chance in hell to afford it. I'm still trying to come up with ideas but on the off chance I can't think of a solution, if anyone would like to look after my puppy on a temporary or even permanent basis I'd love for one of you guys to rather than a stranger. Or even if you know of someone.

That is all, hope everyone is good!

World of WarMeg... WoW!

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 12, 2008, 4:36 AM
yes, I like Mr T have created a Night Elf.

Having just gotten some super fast and nicely big amount of new internet [sorry grammar isn't so good I am tired] I decided to take advantage of Blizzard's 10-day free WoW trial.

I have to say, I am in deep, elvish, pixelated love. What a cool game! [yes to all you out there laughing at me and my lateness in getting there, well, I got nuthin. I really deserve it]

So anyone else here play? I have done some random chatting to uh, randoms, but it'd be cool to get some help off someone I know because well I really do suck so much. :)

Needless to say once the free trial is over I'll be buying it...

---

Art wise I'm getting some stuff done finally which is good. I seem to have conquered the latest bout of apathy and general tiredness and I'm getting as much done as possible while I can!

I am still going to different doctors and hating it. :)

I know I had more to say but the ever-present brain fog just rolled over and after staring at the wall for five minutes, I'm giving up.

Love xx

The crappiness of being sick

Journal Entry: Wed Feb 20, 2008, 9:00 PM
I hate this. I'm sick and no one can tell me what is wrong with me. The doctor's have a fairly good idea but because of one bloody negative blood test, they aren't SURE.

See, they think I have an autoimmune disorder called Sjogren's. Characterized by dry eyes, mouth, skin, fatigue, memory loss and other things. I've had a few other tests that came out positive, and my granpa has it. But this one test, called ANA, is a blood test where they see if you have a certain anti-body. The problem with this test is that your levels can fluctuate from pos to negative on a given day, and also people with Sjogren's only between 40% and 70% ever come up with a positive reading.

So WHY o WHY can they not just diagnose me so I can get on some freaking steroids and start to feel better? I've been feeling progressively crapper since I was about 14 [yah kids that's a good 11 years] and I am really over this... especially since if left untreated the dry eyes can cause ulcerations which can lead to blindness... Loads of fun for an artist

If you want to sign my petition to get a positive diagnoses, please do ;) . If anyone has any similar stories... I'd love to know how you handled it... I am just over seeing so many doctors. :( *needs a universal hug*

Ok I got tagged by wonderful Kat [link] and this is what has to be done:

I will be choosing 5 watchers to tag through a note

they will have to:

- list their 2008 goals
- feature their favorite piece of the artist that tagged them
- tag 2 or more people on your lists

First off my FAVE piece of Kat's is definitely this one [link] I wish I had a subscription so everyone could see how awesome it is! It's just gorgeous. Isn't she talented??

Ok My goals, well I sort of listed them in a journal but here's some more as well that I've thought up!

-Get a tattoo apprenticehip
-Focus WAY more on my art and improve
-Move out of The Parent's house
-Get better at the guitar
-Put way more effort into my interpersonal relationships
-Do more exercise
-Sort out my finances

Not real interesting guys but oh well! :)
I'll tag some other peeps to do this one... mwah
